Owen & Pete White are the new Drawn Doubles Champions

Last Wednesday the Poole Pairs League at the Dorset Table

P1030251Tennis Centre continued with its Individual Championships.

This time 22 players turned up to play the Drawn Doubles

Championship. These players were divided into two groups

with the 11 top players into one group and the rest players

into a second group. Then one top player was drawn a partner

from the second group forming eleven pairs. Now these 11 pairs

were divided into three groups of four and one group of two pairs. (more…)

Poole Pairs Third Round finished

On Wednesday the Poole Pairs League at Dorset Table Tennis Centrejamescropped

finished its third round by having played the two outstanding matches

of which one took place in the Premier Division and one in the

Championship Division. The results meant that ‘Eurasia’ moved to

fourth place in the top division and in the second division the ‘The

Grange Boys’ moved to second place and ‘Willian’ moved to third

place. Below find both results.


Poole Pairs third round almost finished

Last Wednesday the Poole Pairs League at Dorset Table Tennis Centre10639587_10154713747430018_2721567995211179746_n[1]

was back to its normal schedule with a full programme of matches. This

leaves now only two catch-up matches to be played and then the third

round is finished. After this more Individual Championships matches are

going to be played and after these are finished the Dorset Table Tennis

Centre is going to arrange a Team Handicap League competition which

details will be published nearer the time.


Poole Pairs Third Round continues

Unfortunately last Wednesday there were several people ill (including 2013-08-19 12.57.21

myself) and therefore not all matches were played which should have

been played at the Dorset Table Tennis Centre at Grange School. But I

have been told by a reliable source that the evening saw still some

Another Poole Pairs Report

On Wednesday the Dorset Table Tennis Centre at Grange School saw another evening where a lot of players turned up either to play matches or just practice their game. In addition, one


team from the Championships division decided to change their name from ‘The Dream Team’ to ‘The Underdogs’. All results are below.


Poole Pairs third round started

Last night at the Dorset Table Tennis Centre at Grange SchoolIMG_0379

the evening started with the presentation of the trophies and

medals to the winners and runners-up of the second round of

the Poole Pairs League. After that the matches for the third

round commenced although without the two Highcliffe teams

who were not able to come due to the flooding in the area which

meant that Division 1 saw only two matches played. In addition,

the two new teams decided to change their names to ‘Space

Monkeys’ and ‘Mercury’s TTT’. All the results are below.


Poole Pairs second Round Finished

Last night the Poole Pairs League finished their second round.IMG_0377

All the divisions saw the teams fighting hard to get as many points

possible in order to improve the final placement. All the winners

and runners-up are going to be presented with their medals on

Wednesday 27 January after which the third round will start at

which time two more teams are going to join the league.
